Qualifications
- Active member in good standing with the California Bar
- 0-4+ years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense preferred, not required)
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Strong legal research skills (Westlaw)
- Excellent writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Organized, deadline-driven, and motivated to learn
Responsibilities
- Handle civil litigation matters from intake through trial or settlement
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
- Negotiate settlements and communicate with clients
- Maintain organized case files
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $120,000-$180,000 (DOE)
- Bonus: Quarterly, billable-based
- Billables: 1,900 annually
